Last city – Venice.

Wow!  What can one say about Venice?  It truly defies description. Next stop… Florence!

Second stop… Pompeii.

The second leg of the “Death March Through Italy” brought us by train, to the city of Naples and then again by the Circumvesuvio (a local train – ie stops every 3 minutes!) to Pompeii.  The ruins at Pompeii are absolutely unbelievable.  Time really has frozen there.  It is so well preserved that you can imagine...
